Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Bruma ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Bruma is a fog-of-war map application that converts your GPS movement into an explored grid of cells. The App also offers AI-generated walking routes, a travel journal, statistics tracking, and Explorer Cards. Some features require a Pro subscription.

3. Account

You sign in using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID. Each person may maintain one account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Pro features are available through auto-renewable in-app subscriptions managed entirely by Apple via the App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (weekly, monthly, or annual) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Refund requests must be directed to Apple. We do not process payments directly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, overload, or manipulate the AI features (routes, journal, insights).
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to interact with the service.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

6. AI-Generated Content

Routes, journal entries, and statistical insights are generated by artificial intelligence. We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or suitability of AI-generated content. Walking routes may not account for real-world hazards such as traffic, construction, or terrain. You use AI-generated content at your own risk.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and brand assets, is our intellectual property. Your location data, explored map, and personal statistics remain yours. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Data & Privacy

Your privacy matters. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time via the App settings, which permanently removes all your data from our servers.

10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to injuries sustained while following AI-generated routes. Use the App responsibly and always prioritize your personal safety.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
